Labs
- Audio Visual Arena (AVAlab): a window-less lab equipped with three desktop PCs with NVIDIA GeForce graphics card, three HTC Vives (two with a wireless adapter, the one on the right with a pupil labs eye tracker add-on), and a VirZoom bike. Book the computers by scheduling a meeting with the “resource” / “room” rdb14-avalab-a@create.aau.dk (for the computer on the left-hand side of the room) or rdb14-avalab-b@create.aau.dk (for the computer on the right-hand side) or rdb14-avalab-c@create.aau.dk (for the computer to the right of the entrance).
- Dark Lab: a window-less lab for experiments that require controlled lighting; we have installed a HTC Vive and a PC with a NVIDIA GeForce graphics card. Book the lab by scheduling a meeting with the “resource” / “room” rdb14-darklab@create.aau.dk .
- Other facilities (including poster printing and 3D printing)
Hardware
- Most of the devices that are available to students (e.g. Vive trackers, Oculus Rift CV, Oculus Quest, HP Windows Mixed Reality Headset with suitable laptops, Perception Neuron motion capture system, Gear VR HMDs) can be borrowed from Johan Winther Kristensen in room 5.353.
- Some devices (e.g., Epson Moverio BT-200, Blackmagic Design products, a Ricoh Theta S 360 degrees camera, a Gear 360 camera, OLED TV, touch screen, Geomagic’s Touch 3D Stylus, CaptoGlove, Aryzon , etc.) are usually located in the offices of the group’s members.
- AV equipment, Leap Motion, eye trackers, etc. are available from the workshop team in room 5.153 (Poul Lund, Peter Skotte, Jens Munk Clemmensen).
Software
- Information about Autodesk software (Maya/3ds Max): please contact Peter Skotte
- Information about the game engine Unity: please ask other students since many students (in particular in higher semesters) are very familiar with it. (Johan and Martin also know one or two things about it.)
- A Unity package with a virtual model of the AVAlab for the HTC Vive is available.
