The Computer Graphics Group focuses on photorealistic and interactive augmented reality as well as input and output interfaces for virtual reality. We are active in the Light Research unit, the Aalborg U Robotics programme, the Multimodal Interactive Experiences research cluster, and The Center for Applied Games Research.
Research topics include:
- Augmenting photographs with photorealistic renderings of virtual objects
- Augmenting video streams with real-time renderings of virtual objects (in particular in collaboration with Aalborg University Hospital)
- Virtual reality for health-related experiments (in particular in collaboration with the Department of Health Science and Technology)
- AR and VR installations for museums (in particular in collaboration with the Utzon Center and Vesthimmerlands Museum).
- Eye tracking in head-mounted displays
